You don't want the secure email offered to you in "comprehensive
packages." Why? Because most of your email stream is not secretive at
all. A fraction is. In fact, for most people, only a couple of lines in
an otherwise regular email are sufficiently sensitive to warrant
encryption.
Daniel*Notes(tm) is your answer. A short JavaScript page
which you share with your partner, is all you need. You write the short
message in a clearly shown "message window", and click "Encrypt!". The
Daniel encrypted ciphertext appears in the adjacent "encryption
window." You copy it, and paste the encrypted "gibberish" into your
email. Your partner copies the same lines, and pastes them into the
"encryption window" -- clicks, and the plain message appears in the
message window -- perfectly readable. No need for heavy installation,
no burden on your operating system, no keys to remember.
copy-click-paste, and done!
